Our chopping boards are made from a single piece of hardwood. When your board arrives, it is essentially a brand new piece of wood.

Each board is treated with food-safe mineral oil and beeswax (this is optional). There is a limit to how much oil the wood can absorb at first, so after the first initial washes you may notice the surface looks dull or slightly fuzzy. This is normal and just means it's time to re-oil.

Regularly applying food-safe oil (only when the board is completely dry) will keep it protected and looking its best. Over time, the wood will retain more oil and need less frequent re-oiling.

Clean with warm water and a mild, non-abrasive dish soap. Leave to dry standing upright and away from direct heat sources. Do not soak or put in the dishwasher.
